Meet Sophia.
When Sophia was in preschool, her mom, Christine, and classroom teachers noticed her strong interest in books. As a result, Sophia’s mom decided to sign her up for Preschool Readers.

Sophia was not yet reading when Preschool Reading Specialist Ms. Lauren started working with her.
However, Sophia’s initial reading assessment showed she had strong skills and was ready to begin reading instruction.

Working with Preschool Readers has provided Sophia with an academic head start and nurtured her love of reading and learning.
Christine shared, “Let’s put it this way when Sophia knows she has reading with Ms. Lauren, she does a happy dance and says “yeah yeah yeah!” 

Onto Preschool Readers Phase Two.
Although Sophia began kindergarten this year, Christine has chosen to continue with Preschool Readers. “She has done so well with it, Sophia is now in kindergarten, and we are still doing weekly sessions to keep her ahead, and she loves it. Ms. Lauren is super engaging and has a perfect balance of playful hands-on learning. We love Ms. Lauren so much.”

We are so proud of Sophia.
And, we are beyond grateful to be a part of her reading journey!  Mom agrees, “Working with Preschool Readers is the best decision we have made.  Ms. Lisa and Ms. Lauren love what they do and it shows.” 

Christine shared a favorite photo with us –

“one of my favorite pictures and moments captured by one of her teachers. The teachers knew she was starting to read and asked Sophia if she would like to read to her group, and she read Brown Bear Brown Bear.” Sophia’s teachers shared with Christine how confident and excited she was to read to the class, “just warmed my heart. Thank you, Ms. Lauren and Lisa.”
