Meet Sincere, our bright and curious 4-year-old Preschool Readers student, who loves to learn.

In this interview, Sincere’s mom, Markita, shares her experience working with Preschool Readers. Markita talks about how the program has helped Sincere improve his reading skills and build his confidence.

Why We Joined Preschool Readers: Sincere has always shown a huge interest in learning in general. We first started with getting him an instructor for math twice a week and noticed he did exceptionally well for his age. While speaking with his math instructor they noticed that he showed interest in being challenged in different areas and was always willing to try no matter the outcome. One day while scrolling on Instagram I saw an advertisement for a free reading assessment in Princeton and took advantage of the opportunity.

Our Experience with the Program: The program has been such a great opportunity for Sincere and I hope to continue the program with my daughter Jazmyn as she gets older. Sincere looks forward to Ms. Christina coming weekly and always tries to work hard. I am really impressed with how he is progressing weekly. Once he starts kindergarten in September 2024 I know he will have an advantage in several different areas academically due to the foundations that are being set for him academically. 

Sincere’s Love for Reading: Sincere loves his reading sessions and looks forward to them weekly. He is always so determined to learn and build on the skills he already has. Due to the literacy exposure he thinks he can read every sign wherever we are. It is so cute to see him even try to pronounce words that he doesn’t know yet. But he shows so much confidence and determination to try and read them.

Sincere’s Special Bond with Ms. Christina: Sincere loves Ms. Christina. She is so patient and kind toward him even when he is silly and energetic. He truly looks forward to the sessions. There’s been a few times we’ve had to cancel and he has cried because she isn’t able to come. I really hope his kindergarten teacher is like Ms. Christina because she is a true gem.
